Beautification & Restoration

An important core mission of the Watch Hill Memorial Library and Improvement Society has been the restoration and continued maintenance of the various public areas in Watch Hill including the Watch Hill Village Park.

Keep the Horses Flying

Riding the Flying Horses Merry-Go-Round is a tradition for many families that come to Watch Hill every year. The treasure has stood for over 125 years and is still functional today.

Community Events

As a core aspect of our mission, WHMLIS endeavors to “quicken the social and intellectual lives of our people.” To that end, each summer the Society organizes several special events that are run by our volunteers and bring together our entire community.
